Still getting spam calls? You may have rights.

Once your number is on the national Do Not Call list, most sales calls to it may break federal law, and you may be able to report the company or take it to court yourself. The part most people miss: to sue under the Do Not Call rule, you need more than one call from the same company within 12 months. Spam Fighter logs every call and text with evidence, so you can see where you stand.

These are the amounts the law allows for each violation, not a promise of what you will receive. Winning depends on identifying who called you, proving the violation, and the outcome of your case. See where these numbers come from.

Right now: we walk you through the free Do Not Call registration on the government’s own website. It takes about a minute, costs nothing, and protection starts 31 days later. We show you exactly where to click.

When the app opens: log spam calls and texts with screenshots, see in plain English whether each one may break the law, and report it to the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission in one tap. Spam Fighter is part of Kashfetti Pro, which is not on sale yet, and Kashfetti is not in the App Store or Google Play yet.

No spam. One email when we open the free tier, that’s it. Unsubscribe with one click.

How it works

Four steps from annoying spam call to knowing your rights.

Step 01 Β· Log it

Log it

Got a spam call or text? Log it in the app: the number shown, the time, what it was about, and whether it was a recorded voice. Add screenshots as evidence. Your log and screenshots stay private to you.

Private evidence log
Step 02 Β· See if it may break the law

See if it may break the law

For each entry, Kashfetti explains in plain English whether the call or text looks like a possible violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and what is still missing. Calls from the same number are grouped, because the Do Not Call rule needs more than one call from the same company within 12 months.

General information, not legal advice
Step 03 Β· Report it

Report it

Open the official Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Do Not Call and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) report sites in one tap, with your details listed to copy in. You file each report yourself. Reports are free and do not get you money, but they help stop illegal callers.

You file every report
Step 04 Β· Know your next step

The rights guide explains both rules, what they do not cover, and how to check your number is on the Do Not Call registry. Demand letters are coming after legal review; your log keeps everything a letter would need.

You can always file free yourself at the official Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission report sites. Reports are free, and you file each one yourself; Kashfetti opens the site and lists your details to copy. Kashfetti never files a report, sends a letter, or brings a case for you, and never takes a share of any recovery. Pro, when it launches, pays for tools: the private log with screenshots, the plain-English check, and the report helper. It does not increase your chance of recovering anything.

Common questions

What you might want to know before you start.

What does Spam Fighter do?

It is a private log for spam calls and texts. You record each one with screenshots, and Kashfetti explains in plain English whether it looks like a possible violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the federal law on unwanted calls and texts. It opens the official Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Do Not Call and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) report sites with your details ready to copy, and it reminds you to check your number is on the Do Not Call registry. It is general information, not legal advice.

Does Kashfetti sue spammers or send letters for me?

No. Kashfetti does not file lawsuits, send letters, or contact anyone for you. Demand letters are coming after legal review; until then, your log keeps everything a letter would need. You can always take action yourself, for free, and Kashfetti never takes a share of any recovery.

What law covers spam calls?

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act has two rules. The robocall rule covers recorded or robot-voice calls to your cell phone without your permission: one call can be enough, and you do not need to be on any list. The Do Not Call rule covers sales calls to a number that has been on the national registry for 31 days or more, and to sue under it you need more than one call from the same company within 12 months. If a court agrees a call broke one of these rules, the law lets it award damages, and more if it finds the company acted willfully or knowingly. The Sources page links the law itself.

How much can I actually get?

Possibly nothing. Damages are something a court may award, not an amount you are owed. What anyone recovers depends on who the company is, how good the evidence is, and whether a court agrees. Plenty of people recover nothing at all. Not every unwanted call is illegal: the Do Not Call rule does not cover political calls, charities, surveys, debt collectors, or companies you gave permission to or already do business with.

Do people actually do this?

People report unwanted calls in large numbers: the FTC received more than 2.6 million Do Not Call complaints in fiscal year 2025. Reporting to the FTC does not put money in your pocket, though. Some people go further: roughly 3,200 spam-call lawsuits were filed in federal court in 2025, according to the litigation tracking service WebRecon. That counts federal cases only.

Do I need to sign up for the Do Not Call list first?

For the Do Not Call rule, yes. Registering is free at donotcall.gov, takes about a minute, and protection starts 31 days later. To check your number is registered, verify it on donotcall.gov and keep the email it sends you. Robocalls and recorded messages to your cell phone work differently and do not need registration. Texts are unsettled: in July 2026 a federal appeals court covering Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin held that a text is not a call under the Do Not Call rule, and Spam Fighter's check takes that into account.

5 more questions
Who sees my log and screenshots?

Only you. Your log and screenshots are never shared with anyone and never sent to analytics. You can export them or delete an entry, a screenshot, or your whole log at any time, and deleting your account deletes them.

What does it cost?

The rights guide and reporting yourself on the official sites are free. Spam Fighter is part of Kashfetti Pro, which is coming soon at $34.99/yr or $5.99/mo and is not on sale yet. Pro also includes the paid tools in Kashfetti's other modules. You can always report or take action yourself, for free.

When does this open?

Spam Fighter is coming soon. Kashfetti is not in the App Store or Google Play yet. Join the waitlist now and we email you the free Do Not Call setup guide, so you can get registered right away, and you get first access when the app opens.

Is Kashfetti a law firm?

No. We are a tool, not lawyers. We do not represent you, we do not give legal advice, and we never take a cut of anything you recover. Spam Fighter's check is general information. For advice about your situation, talk to a lawyer licensed in your state.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

Yes. You can cancel anytime from your account to stop future charges. If this is your first Kashfetti subscription, you can get a full refund within 30 days of your first monthly charge or 60 days of your first annual charge, unless you have sent certified mail through Kashfetti. Email hello@kashfetti.com from your account email with the subject β€œRefund Request”. We handle each request by hand. We do not offer prorated refunds.

Plus 3 more ways

Spam Fighter is one of four Kashfetti tools.

Search for unclaimed property the state is holding under your name. Find class-action settlements you may qualify for and file them yourself. Check a delayed or cancelled flight and see which rules may apply. One Kashfetti Pro subscription ($34.99/yr, or $5.99/mo, coming soon and not on sale yet) covers the paid tools in all four.
