When a company gets sued over something it did to millions of customers, it usually settles and puts money in a fund. That fund may include you if you were one of those customers. Often there is no letter you notice, and the deadline is easy to miss.
Many people never claim simply because they never hear about it.
Settlement amounts shown are what the funds pay out overall, not a promise of what you will receive. Whether you qualify depends on the settlement terms and your own records. See where these numbers come from.
Stop finding out after the deadline passed.
Right now: we send you a short guide on how settlements actually work, what people really get paid, and how to spot the ones worth your time. Free.
When we open (early 2027): answer the quiz once and see which open settlements you may qualify for. You file each claim yourself on the official site, free, and we track it until the money lands.
Real cases. Real checks. Published by the government.
These are closed cases where the money has already gone out. Each average is simply the total paid divided by the number of people eligible, taken straight from the Federal Trade Commission’s own 2024 report. We have left the small ones in.

About 1 in 5 eligible consumers never cash their FTC refund check even after the distribution is complete, per the 2024 FTC Annual Report on Refunds. And those are the easy cases, where the government already knew exactly who was eligible and posted a check to them. For an ordinary class-action settlement, where you have to find it yourself and file before a deadline, the share of people who collect is far smaller.

See what you may qualify for
We show you every open settlement that matches, what it pays, what proof it wants, and when it closes. Free to browse. Plenty of them need no receipts at all, just an honest statement that you were a customer.
You file it, we track it
You file the claim yourself on the official settlement site, and we track it. Then we watch for the payout and tell you when it lands.
Most of these need less proof than people assume.
You state that you were a customer and that is the whole claim. These are the most common and the most ignored, because people assume it must be harder than that.
An email address, a phone number, an order number, or the last four digits of a card. Usually findable in a couple of minutes if you know where to look, which is the part we handle.
Receipts, bank statements, or proof of time lost. More work, and usually a much bigger payout. Some settlements pay a flat $50 with no proof or several thousand with it.
One thing we will not do: help with a claim we do not think is honest. Every settlement form makes you certify under penalty of perjury that you qualify. Filing a false claim is a crime, and it takes money from the people who genuinely do qualify. If you do not qualify, we will say so.

You can always file free yourself at the official settlement site. You file every claim yourself on the official site. Kashfetti never files, signs, or submits a claim for you and never receives claim money. Pro, when it launches, pays for tools: filling your own details into the form for you to review and submit, instant alerts, and the weekly state digest. It does not increase your chance of being paid or the amount paid out.
You can absolutely do this yourself. Here is what that involves.
Every settlement is public and every claim form is free to file. The hard part was never the form. It is knowing the settlement exists at all, before it closes.

What actually is a class action settlement?
A company gets sued for doing something to a lot of customers at once. Rather than fight it, the company agrees to put money into a fund and settle. That fund is meant for the people it affected, which may well include you. The money already exists and has already been set aside. The only question is whether anybody claims it before the deadline.
Is this real money or is it a few cents?
Both, depending on the case, and we would rather show you the spread than pick the flattering end. Using the FTC's own 2024 figures for real cases: Opendoor averaged about $1,129 per person, Benefytt about $214, Fortnite about $114, Ring about $48, and AT&T about $23.50. Across every case that had a first distribution that year, the average was about $72. Some are genuinely worth your afternoon and some are worth a coffee.
Why does anyone leave this money unclaimed?
Often because nobody tells them. Many people never see a notice, and there is no central place people think to check. Settlements run for a few months and quietly close. Even in cases where the government has a list of exactly who is eligible and mails checks directly, the FTC reports that about 1 in 5 eligible consumers never cash their check after the distribution is complete (2024 FTC Annual Report on Refunds), and the share still uncashed runs higher on cases still in progress.
Do I need receipts?
Often not. A large share of settlements need no proof of purchase at all, just a statement that you were a customer. Others want something you already have, like an email address, an order number, or the last four digits of a card. A smaller group wants documented losses, and those tend to pay significantly more. We tell you which kind you are looking at before you commit to anything.
Is it legal to file if I am not totally sure I qualify?
No, and this matters. Every claim form makes you certify under penalty of perjury that you are an eligible class member. Filing one you know is false is perjury, and it also drains the fund for the people who genuinely qualify. We will help you work out whether you qualify, and we will tell you when you do not. We will not help with a claim we do not think is honest.
Does some of this money arrive without me doing anything?
Sometimes, and it is worth knowing the difference. Government enforcement refunds, where a regulator like the FTC sues a company, often arrive automatically because the agency already knows who is eligible. The Amazon Prime case is the clearest example: more than $845 million has gone out and the FTC made all future payments automatic, so there is nothing to file. Private class-action settlements are the opposite. Almost all of them require you to file a claim by a deadline, and if you do not, you get nothing. We exist for the second kind.
7 more questionsFewer questions
How long until I get paid?
Slower than you would like. Most settlements do not pay until after a final approval hearing, and appeals can hold things up further. Six months to two years from filing is normal. We track it so you are not left wondering, but nobody can make this part fast.
What if a settlement gets more claims than expected?
Then everybody gets less. Most funds are a fixed pot divided among whoever files, so the published estimate per person is a starting point, not a promise. This is the single biggest reason a payout comes in lower than expected, and it is why we show estimates as estimates.
Is Kashfetti a law firm?
No. We are not a law firm, we are not your lawyer, and none of this is legal advice. Filing a settlement claim is something you are entitled to do yourself, the same way you can file your own taxes. We list the settlements with their official rules, help you fill in the form, and track the claim. You file it yourself on the official site and you make every decision.
What does it cost?
Seeing what you may qualify for and filing yourself on the official settlement site are free, along with the copy helper, your tracking email, claim tracking, and a monthly email of new settlements in your state. Kashfetti Pro is coming soon at $34.99/yr or $5.99/mo. It adds one-tap claim fill (we fill your own details into the official form, then you review it and tap the site's Submit button), instant alerts, and a weekly state digest. You never need Pro to file a claim. We never take a percentage of a payout, so if a claim pays $400 you keep $400.
When does this open?
Early 2027. Join the waitlist and you get the eligibility quiz first, plus first access when filing opens. In the meantime we will email you when something genuinely large opens up.
